Fermentation Nation?

We are not alone.

Did you know that more than 100 TRILLION microscopic organisms such as bacteria, fungi, and viruses live inside and outside of you?

Commonly referred to as your “gut microbiome”, these little creatures have been associated with immune function, mental health, and diseases.

There have even been studies that have showed microbiomes to have an influence over how much you weigh!

Fermented foods such as kimchi, yogurt, sauerkraut, and pickles contain “probiotic” bacteria that may help you restore a healthier gut.

The “good” bacteria that is said to be found in these fermented foods may interact with your current microbiome and promote the growth of better bacteria.

Healthy fermented products may be a good food to add to your diet, but not all fermented products may good for you.

Like everything else, always make sure to read ingredient labels and watch for added sugars, preservatives, and other additives.

Our go-to fermented food? Siggi’s yogurt!
