Grass-fed beef better?

Grass-fed beef may have more nutritional benefit over grain-fed or conventional beef.

Grass-fed beef may contain more antioxidants and vitamins.

There may be more “healthier” fats, such as omega-3 fats, in grass-fed beef than grain-fed.

Grass-fed beef may contain less fat in general than grain-fed.

Cows that are raised eating grains are also typically administered antibiotics which may promote the growth of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

However, grass-fed beef is usually slightly more expensive than grain-fed beef.

It is also difficult to tell which beef is actually grass-fed because the label, “grass-fed” does not necessarily mean it was.

The best ways to make sure the beef you’re eating is actually grass-fed is to look for the “American Grassfed Approved” logo, “Food Alliance” certification, or buy from trusted farms.

You can also look to see if it has the phrase “grass-finished”.
