Organic fruits and vegetables may provide more nutritional value and fewer toxic chemicals than conventional (non-organic) produce.
This is because organic farming prohibits the use of pesticides.
Pesticides have been associated with a number of health conditions including chronic diseases, cancer, and Parkinson’s.
Produce grown without pesticides may also contain more antioxidants and nutrients that can protect against disease and improve health.
Organic produce can be slightly more expensive, however. There are some conventionally grown fruits and vegetables that are safer to buy than others if you cannot go completely organic.
