For many patients, AbendHealth can serve as their ongoing primary care practice. Your dedicated provider can manage routine follow-ups, preventive care, medications, chronic conditions, lab reviews, referrals, and many new health concerns virtually.

Many primary care needs can be handled virtually. When an in-person examination, test, imaging study, procedure, urgent care visit, or emergency evaluation is needed, your provider will explain the appropriate next step and help coordinate your care.

Our goal is for you to establish an ongoing relationship with your own dedicated primary care provider. When possible, your follow-up visits will be scheduled with that same provider so they can get to know your history and follow your health over time.

Yes. When medically appropriate, your provider can order laboratory testing, imaging, and specialist referrals at locations convenient to you in New Jersey.

AbendHealth accepts most major health insurance plans. Coverage and patient responsibility depend on your individual insurance plan, so copays, deductibles, and other costs may apply.

Virtual visits may be appropriate for preventive care, routine follow-ups, medication management, lab reviews, weight management, chronic conditions, minor illnesses, new symptoms, and many women’s and men’s health concerns. Your provider will determine when additional in-person evaluation is needed.

Yes. Your AbendHealth provider can prescribe and refill medications through virtual appointments when medically appropriate.

No. Virtual primary care is available to eligible patients throughout New Jersey. You must be physically located in New Jersey at the time of your appointment.

No. Virtual primary care is not intended for medical emergencies. Call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for severe or potentially life-threatening symptoms.
